As a fellow Brazilian, Alves was pretty close to Neymar. Alves has been regarded even the people closest to Neymar after his parents. No wonder if Alves advised Neymar to join Barcelona.
"He was always open to join this club. I always said that if he wants to play in Europe then the club that best matches the style of the game is Barcelona. I've told him directly about it," said Alves.
However, Alves did not ask Neymar to rush to move to Europe. With age is still 19 years, Neymar still have enough time to train mentally and ability before it actually appeared in European football.
"When you feel the defeat, normal if you feel sad. But still have to work, because everything is still long and not the end of a career," said Alves.
