Amir Khan Focus on Rematch against Lamont Peterson

Amir Khan (24), former world light-welterweight champion WBA and IBF versions, are focused on preparation for the rematch against Lamont Peterson (28) who had won his title on December 10, 2011.

"We are pleased the World Boxing Association (WBA) has decided to immediately do a rematch," according to a press statement delivered Golden Boy Promotions, promoter of Amir Khan, on Tuesday (1/17/2012), in Los Angeles, United States.

On January 12, WBA have decided to do a rematch between Khan and Khan Peterson camp filed a protest after the defeat suffered in a match the numbers December 10 in Washington DC, United States.

Khan's camp appeal the decision of referee Joe Cooper, who has cut two digits for the actions of pushing.
