The 32-year-old striker signed a contract with Shanghai since mid-December 2011. Allegedly, he will receive a wage of about 200,000 pounds per week.

Anelka is Chelsea's fifth club in the Premier League, having previously played for Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Bolton Wanderers. Anelka arrived and Stamford Bridge as the first player who contracted Avram Grant, the former Chelsea manager, in January 2008. During his career at Chelsea, he has made 184 appearances and scored 59 goals.
